Campus Care seeks to uphold the pro-life teachings of the Catholic Church by providing life-affirming support and resources to pregnant and parenting students, and to any other student who may find themselves in need of these resources at Ave Maria University.
The purpose of Campus Care is to form a campus culture that empowers every mother and father to choose life for their child and support them in continuing their education, celebrating every life no matter the circumstances.
Campus Care hosts two annual informational meetings during the school year, one at the beginning of each semester. The informational meetings are a chance for any interested AMU student to learn more about the peer-to-peer ministry that the Campus Care team provides to support pregnant and parenting students at the university. At these meetings students learn about the life-affirming resources we offer to students and the ways in which our team is proactively pro-life on campus. In addition to our informational meetings our team hosts trainings for our club members that are specific to our advocates and babysitters. Lastly, each semester our team hosts a fall and spring event for the families we serve to build community and share our mission with the Ave community.
Membership in Campus Care is available to all AMU students on the basis that they will help to support the pro-life mission on Campus. Membership can take three forms: Board member, Advocate, or Babysitter.
